5 Days – Cusco Multicolor

Day 1: Cusco

Reception at Velasco Astete airport for transfer to the chosen hotel. Overnight at the selected hotel.

Day 2: Cusco: Maras & Moray

Breakfast. At the indicated time we will start the visit to the famous agricultural terraces of Moray, considered the botanical laboratory of the Incas, is an archaeological group unique in its kind in the region. These are gigantic natural holes that were used by the Incas, who built terraces or agricultural platforms with their respective irrigation channels, is a prototype of a greenhouse, the main hole has a depth of 150 meters and an average height of platforms is 1.80 meters. Finally we will go to the town of Maras and visit its salt mines, used as a means of economic exchange from the incanato to the present day.

Made up of about 2000 small wells, they indicate that the mountain has salt mines inside, a salt water spring, used during the dry season to fill the wells in the form of “irrigation” every 3 days with salt water for a month , so that it solidifies gradually, then you have the process for the consumption of the region. After noon return to Cusco and spend the night at the selected hotel in Cusco.

Day 3: Cusco / Machu Picchu / Cusco

Breakfast. Transfer from your hotel to the Ollanta train station where your trip to Machu Picchu begins by train service. The 112km route between Cusco and Machu Picchu runs alongside the Urubamba River. During your tour you will appreciate the beautiful vegetation characteristic of the high jungle and majestic snowfall, cross two tunnels and finally arrive at the Puente Ruinas station, where you will board the tourist transport minibuses. After 8 km of ascent, we will arrive at the architectural complex of Machu Picchu. Here begins the guided tour of a path that leads to the unique citadel where we find squares, temples, reservoirs, stairways, water fountains, platforms, guard posts, cemeteries … as well as the temple of the sun, the Intiwatana (solar clock) the temple of the three windows among other charms. It includes lunch. In the afternoon return to Cusco and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the selected hotel.

Day 4: Rainbow Mountain / 7 Color Mountain

Breakfast.

Pick up from the Hotel 6:30 am and then head towards the southern area of Cusco for an approximate 1 hr 40 min drive to the town of Quiquijana (Colca Community) where we can use the hygienic services in the AYASQA TOURIST RESTAURANT, then we will continue for 1 hr 20 mins more until the Community of (Fulam Wasi Pata), parking area 4,630 m altitude approx. From here we will begin with our walk through an easy-access path for an estimated time of approximately 1 hr 30 min, and we will reach the top of the Rainbow Mountain, where we can appreciate magical landscapes located at 5,000 m above sea level. After enjoying the wonder that our mother nature presents, we will return by the same route, where our transport awaits us and then we will move for 1 hour to the Restaurant to have the buffet lunch. Later we will return to Cusco, approx. 5:00 pm (left at their respective Hotel). Overnight at the selected hotel in Cusco.

Day 5: Cusco

Breakfast. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport to board your national and international flight.
