Day 1: Cusco City Tour & Archaeological Park Tour
At the coordinated time, transportation pickup from your hotel to begin your Archaeological Park tour. You’ll visit the Cathedral where an incredible collection of paintings from the Cusquena school are on display inside, the Temple of the Sun, Qoricancha, and Convento de Santo Domingo.
After the city tour, proceed to the Archaeological Park tour just a few kilometers outside of Cusco city center, starting with Sacsayhuaman’s colossal structure of enormous unified stone walls and foundations, and continuing to Q’enqo (for the Inca, the belly-button of the world), Puca Pucara (administrative complex overlooking the valley where 2 Inca trails converge), & Tambomachay (the fountain of youth flows from an unknown source out of the mountain to fuel these ancient fountains).
