Day 1: …/Lima

  • Reception at the Jorge Chavez airport and transportation to your hotel. Overnight at selected hotel.

Day 2: Lima

  • Breakfast. Visit the citadel of Pachacamac, the Rome of the Andes, its temples, streets, pyramids and cemeteries. It was the headquarters of the most famous oracle in the Andean world at that time, where men from all corners of the Tawantinsuyo empire arrived on a pilgrimage to inquire about their destiny and the destiny of their peoples. Thus, they could know the future of important battles and about possible droughts and cataclysms. We continue the tour on a journey through time through the history of Lima, pre-Hispanic, colonial and modern. Visit its old spas, its valleys and pre-Hispanic temples, its Plaza Mayor. Travelers will get to learn about religious life, colonial architecture, their entertainment, the particular names of their streets, their evolution and modernization and the life of their most picturesque characters. (Includes lunch). At the end return to the Hotel. Overnight at the selected hotel.

Day 3:Lima/ Cusco: City Tour & Archaeological Park Tour

  • Breakfast. In the afternoon, Half-day excursion where you visit the cathedral, the “Qorikancha” or Temple of the Sun and the four ruins surrounding the city of Cusco: The Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, located 2km outside the city, a monumental complex considered jointly with the city of Cusco as the first among the new seven Wonders of the World. Impressive work planned and built by the Andean man. Q´enqo: Located 3km from the city, a ceremonial and cult center. Tambomachay, located 7 km from the city and at 3,700 m altitude, known as the Inca baths. Puca Pucara, located 6km from the city, an administrative and military center that, due to its strategic position, served as a checkpoint on the Inca trails. Overnight at the selected hotel.

Day 4: Cusco / Machu Picchu

  • Breakfast. Transfer from your hotel to the Ollanta train station where your trip to Machu Picchu begins by train service. The 112km route between Cusco and Machu Picchu runs alongside the Urubamba River. During your tour you will appreciate the beautiful vegetation characteristic of the high jungle and majestic snowfall, cross two tunnels and finally arrive at the Puente Ruinas station, where you will board the tourist transport minibuses. This day you can enjoy a buffet lunch at a Local Restaurant. Overnight at the selected hotel.

Day 5: Machu Picchu / Cusco

  • Breakfast. At  the indicated time you will move the station where tourist transport will be addressed. After 8 km of ascent, we will arrive at the architectural complex of Machu Picchu. Here begins the guided tour of a path that leads to the unique citadel where we find squares, temples, reservoirs, stairways, water fountains, platforms, guard posts, cemeteries … as well as the temple of the sun, the Intiwatana (solar clock) the temple of the three windows among other charms.  In the afternoon return to Cusco and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the selected hotel.

Day 6: Cusco / Puno

  • Breakfast. At the appropriate time, transfer to the bus station. Departure to Puno. This trip offers stops in interesting cultural and historic landmarks such as:
    Andahuaylillas, with its mix of barroque meztiza arquitecture typical of the predominant school of the 17th century. Raqchi, the temple of the God Wirracocha, and Inca monument divided into 2 naves, each of which consists of 11 giant stone columns. La Raya, which is a camelid preserve from where you can take impressive high plains landscape photographs with the animals. Pukara, an old ceremonial center of the Tihuanaco culture, characterized by a series of platforms that resemble the Kalassaya pyramid. Arrive Puno and check in to your hotel of choice.

Day 7: Puno

  • Breakfast.
    Boat trip to the Uros Island, where the local folks who live on and around Lake Titicaca continue to live as their ancestors, conserving the customs and idiosyncrocies of their communal way of life. The islands are located in the expansive National Titicaca Reserve. Continuing on the tour, you’ll visit Taquile Island, a popular tourist destination for its beautiful landscapes and culture, whose inhabitants have developed an original form of ‘comunal living tourism’ whereby the visitor partakes in typical meals and local customs, chores, and traditions. Once done, return to hotel.

Day 8: Puno / Lima

  • Breakfast at the hotel and at the coordinated time, transportation picks you up from your hotel to take you to the airport in time for your flight out of Puno.
